WWI's outcome was already decided before America became directly involved. It was not America that advocated for reparations, in fact Wilson strongly advocated against. As far as I can see, the effect of America WWI is minimal, only helping to shorten the inevitable outcome. The League of Nations failed at its mission, but nobody came up with anything better.
