The thought of using a recipe for a crockpot roast is hilarious
I like to get my broth nice and flavorful so I get a spoonful each of "Better than Bouillon" beef and vegetable flavors in there. Herbs are also great. And a whole bulb of garlic, cloves peeled but left whole, never hurts either. Depends on your taste but absolutely key to a delicious roast in my house are parsnips. They give it an extra aroma and flavor that's a little carrot-y but something more entirely. Roasts just aren't the same without parsnips.
