I stand the same as you. Unvaccinated, understanding the risks of COVID but also understanding that the vaccine isn't as safe as the cheerleaders try to shove down our throats.

The shoving down the throats bit is off-putting. And the sinister reactions to skepticism are growing. I was very surprised and pissed when I heard about Bret Weinstein's YouTube videos discussing FDA-approved drugs as possible treatments or prophylactics being taken down. Who the hell do the people censoring these platforms think they are? They're not MDs. They're not scientists. They're power-grubbing twits with bullshit education. It certainly re-affirms the case for Hive and decentralization in general.

The vaccine is certainly better than getting COVID, but I'm not intentionally inoculating myself with COVID19 and I'm still taking measures to avoid exposure. The same measures that have kept me healthy in the last year and 4 months.

I disagree with you that those things you mentioned are uncorrelated with cases and deaths. That's not to say mandating people to stay home and also mandating masks wasn't a mistake, I believe people could have made their own decisions and taken the results of themselves and others as feedback. And the economic effects and backlash of being told what to do was probably more harmful in the long run.
