It really saddens me to see how the topocho plantain plants are scorched by the relentless sun. I always make sure to give them some water so they don't die.
They are incredibly resilient; despite this natural adversity—since there has been absolutely no rain this year and the heat grows more intense by the day—they have still managed to produce bunches, though it is a real struggle for them to reach full maturity.
