"IMG_5878.jpg" Hi Everyone,

I had to take a work trip to London over the weekend, and luckily I had time to stop by at my favourite place ever here The Barbican Centre.

The Barbican Centre, and Barbican estate is a post WW2 development, after this area had been destroyed during the war.

There are about 2000 flats, the museum of London, The Guildhall school of Music and Drama, and the reason I come here, the Barbican Arts Centre, with it's beautiful courtyard.

When the weather is nice, like today, I like to sit here and do some work. you can also grab coffee or food at the barbican Kitchen and take it out here with you. and the Centre has great wifi that reaches all the way out here, so you can work as if you were in an office, just make sure your Laptop is charged. They have public seating areas inside as well, as well as plug sockets, and also the Barbican Library, which hosts the largest Jazz and Music library in the UK.

A really nice thing you can do when you are visiting the city, is taking an architecture tour, and learn about Brutalism and this part of town. It is amazing! You can find out more about the tours here, if you are interested, I can only recommend: https://www.barbican.org.uk/whats-on/series/barbican-tours

"IMG_5884.jpg" There are also two arts galleries in here that usually alternate exhibitions, but sometimes more than one is on at the same time. I have a yearly membership so I can go for free.

One of my dreams, since I moved to London, is to live in this estate one day, but I think I need to start earning a WHOLE LOT MORE before that will happen. But I am a sucker for beauty and this area of town is just sooo beautiful, and also one of the most peaceful parts.

Another Gem in here is the Conservatory, which is a botanical Garden Inside the building. At the moment you have to book a time slot to visit it, and it is usually very booked up, but If you can get a slot, I really recommend this. It is completely free, but you can donate.

I hope you enjoyed this little insight into one of my favourite spots in London, and who knows, if you decide to visit it I might be here, sitting on my lap top, or attending one of the other amazing things to do here.
