I often wonder about the chronic unhappiness of so many people in the morning. That "I'm not a morning person" stuff.

What possibly could have pissed you off during the night, every night apparently? Strangely lots of these people are asleep at night so are they having bad dreams every night? Sleep walking and getting arrested for public indecency? And why so rude to those who didn't wake up on the wrong side of the bed?

Try a few things like: Empty your mind before falling asleep. Clear out all the negative thoughts and let go of any anger. Listen to a good calming EBook story.
Check what you eat too close to bedtime. Try avoid heavy and overly spicy meals.
Check your mattress and pillow quality and your sleep posture. Prop yourself up if need be to teach you a new sleeping position.
Alcohol, remember that it is a sedative and can mess with your deep sleep abilities.
Skipping breakfast is also not a good idea. At least eat something you may really like even if it seems weird.
Lack of exercise can deplete your energy levels and up your body and throw your hormone levels out of whack and and and. At least go for a brisk walk every day at some point to start with. As energy levels come back you will automatically make time for some more turbocharging

The one that may be hard to get past is that it could be genetic. a small percentage of the population have a genetic mutation that shows a link between mood and circadian clock sleep cycles. People with these genetic variants are more likely to suffer from Seasonal-Affective Disorder (SAD) and have depression during the winter months when there is lower light in some parts of the world. You'll have to see a pro about that one.

So grumpy guts. Don't be a toss all your life, give yourself a chance at happiness, but it mostly is up to you.

Crack on
