A sore topic for those on both sides of the hurt feelings line, but it exists. Why are people so overly sensitive, where did it start and who is pushing the issue?
I remember growing up and how much we teased each other and laughed about it. Suicides were not as common as they are now and the psychologists and psychiatrists only treated people with severe issues. Bullies were bullied back or taken to task and taught the value of not being spoiled little brats. Nobody ran off to hide and or start stabbing or shooting people, we dealt with it and very often ended up friends.
When did things get so bent out of shape?
Why have we let go of what worked in favor of what clearly doesn't. There was safety in good honest parenting and teaching and it boggles the mind that no one thinks it weird that someone else just decided that these practices would now be abolished. I wonder if these were the same idiots that decided that discipline was a bad idea and that people who are too young to have gained any life experience should be put in charge of all their own decisions and that it would turn out okay?
Has anyone realised that people who are not held accountable for their actions during childhood tend to be very arrogant and make for great school bullies which from where I stand makes this the parents fault. So instead of running around blaming guns for school shootings do people not just take accountability for the fact that if they disciplined their children they might not bullie and so doing create other demons. When the truth of the matter is denied it just causes a chain reaction of very serious problems that everyone now censors from conversation instead of dealing with it head on.
Respect is not begotten from tossing all discipline and accountability out the window, it breeds disrespect and creates a society of dictators who won't accept any responsibility for anything and blame everyone for everything.
Are people creating a lazy and demanding generation of bullies that create shooters, which creates censors and demanding dictators who refuse to be accountable for anything they cause for themselves while hiding from reality?
Unfortunately we are, my thought anyway, what's yours?
