Dealing with self-aggrandizement on Steemit is a hard problem. The solution needs to be automated using AI text analysis because the problem is to big for human intervention. And it has to be done in a consistent and fair way, ideally in an algorithmic manner. But self-aggrandizement is only part of the problem. Mutual-aggrandizement is much harder to detect. Especially if collusion is established outside of Steemit. Also, if a big player with a lot of existing followers enters the Steemit game, there will be a lot of unfairness to smaller players on the platform. What is being done about these issues?
