In Deuteronomy, the nation of Israel was told the greatest act of obedience
was to love God.
Deuteronomy
4 Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one.
5 *Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. *
6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts.
7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.
8 Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads.
9 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates.
it isn't just one of the numerous guidelines in God's Word yet the most essential one. So to me we would be advised to do it! God doesn't reveal to us things just so we would not abide by it.
He teaches us in the way we completely need to go for our prosperity
Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
God dependably needs your affection
to be solid in your heart.
- We should love God because He first loved us
1 John 4:10
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
1 John 4:19
We love because he first loved us.
We can get so troubled or hurt when we adore somebody who doesn't love us! The passionate hurt appears to be more regrettable than a physical torment. Not withstanding the bible has indicated that God loves you, so you can love Him with no dread of dismissal!
- We should love God because we were made to love Him in an endless pledge relationship. At the end of the day, God needs to be in a relationship with you that resembles a marriage Isaiah 54:5
For your Maker is your husband—
the Lord Almighty is his name—
the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer;
he is called the God of all the earth.
