Genesis chapter 7:5
And Joseph dreamed a dream and he told his brothers and they hated him yet

Sometimes there are things God gives to us,visions and dreams that he has planned for us and in our minds and logical way of thinking, it ought to happen our way ,quickly and at this particular time.
God's timetable is not ours , it never operates on the same realm ,his ways are not our ways.

Isaiah 59:8-9
his thoughts are not like our own thoughts they are higher

So what we have to realise is that the lord will work out what he has given you but it won't be the way you are expecting it to work out ,it will be wonderful,it will be great but you getting there is going to take sometime.

Joseph dreams came to pass but it was like 14years down the road before they manifested and it certainly wasn't the way he expected it to be, he went through a lot of hardship; was imprisoned, was a slave etc then they started to come to pass, he was the second in command in the whole of Egypt, a whole new level and it had to take time.
Joseph had to go through tribulations to show how well he could handle the responsibilities God had set for him.

Same thing happens in our lives, God takes us from one point to another, to perfect our character, to glorify God, that we can make choices that line up with God's will and expectations.
When his dreams and visions for you come to pass, you are ready to receive and glorify God.

It will come to pass when he says you are ready, not when you think you are ready, till then you have to hang in there and ask God for the things you need to adjust or let go in your life with the help of his holy spirit, so that you can be perfected to take on his responsibilities.
