In recent times, the issue of marriage has become a great concern to many,in other words, the marriage institution is at the verge of destruction, Various nation have asserted for the same sex marriage to legalise it but the word of God is against it. However, Western culture (American) support the same sex marriage (gay and lesbian) even in some churches it has been legalized, it therefore mean that the devil is crippling into the church and Christian are sleep spirituality. The Bible condemn same sex marriage take for instance in levictius(18:12)it written no man should sleep with is fellow male and also like wise for female it is abominable to the Lord. In the letter of St Paul to the Corinthian church(1cor6:9-10) Paul admonished the church any body involved in sexual immorality whether homosexual or male prostitute will not inherit God's kingdom and Hebrew clearly state that"marriage is honorable among all and the bed undefiled (Heb13:4). Even among Christian to profess to be born again do not see divorce has anything and some Christian see co-habitation of two person living together which is a sin. what can be done to eradicate same sex marriage in our society because it is more than constitutional amendments, teaching of undiluted word of God,the Scripture should not be compromise to fit today contemporary world.what the society need is a clear distinction between right and wrong,the word of God has ability to give clear direction no wonder King David said your word is a lamp to our feet that guides us including marriage (psalm119:105). In conclusion, let the word of God been our standard.
