Weather in a lay man’s language is simply the local atmospheric condition of a place at a particular time. For example as at the time I write this, the weather here is cloudy and cold because it’s been raining for a while. Weather is an integral part of our lives and plays a strategic role in our day to day living as it influences the way we dress, how we engage in outdoor activities and also goes along way to influence the choices we make when it come to agriculture.

The types of weather conditions: We are all used to the different types of weather such as cold weather, hot, sunny, rainy, snowy, cloudy, and etc.
Weather forecasting: The aspect of weather has to do with weather predictions. The weather can be predicted through observations, use of models and different data.
Climate change: Climate change is that aspect of weather that deals with how global warming is impacting our weather patterns both on normal and extreme cases.
Extreme weather cases: This aspect deals with cases where we encounter extreme weather conditions such as tornadoes, hurricanes, hails, snow storms etc and their impacts they have on the environment.
Weather patterns: Weather patterns such as high or low pressure systems, fronts and jet streams as affects the type of weather we experience and they help meteorologists in the weather predictions so that they can be able to issue warnings on time in cases where severe weather conditions are envisaged.
Seasonal changes: Here we see how the weather changes per season and each of these seasons have their own characteristics. In my country, we all presently in the rainy season where we see more of rain falls and this brings about the farming season.
After the rainy season comes the dry season or what we also call the harmattan season characterized by dryness and cold and no rain falls. In the western world they have four seasons namely autumn, spring, winter and summer.
