One of the causes of mortality rate in some poultry farm in Nigeria is mostly caused by lack of proper good hygiene in the poultry farm practice carried out by the owner of the poultry farm. Meanwhile, to keep proper good hygiene, it always attracts high level of commitment, hard work and time from the farmer. When a poultry farm encounters bad hygiene practice, it's susceptible or open to diseases or viruses that may leads to high mortality rate in the poultry farm considering that broiler birds are exposed to pass on diseases or viruses as quick as possible.
This is why when you have the intention to start or run a Poultry farm most especially for business, it's important that one creates the time to take care of the pen and the Broiler birds in general because they seem to be the center of the business. They are the stock of the business.
On being lazy part, Poultry farming doesn't seems to welcome a farmer who's lazy or someone who procrastinate. The farming loves a farmer who does the right thing at the right time. The laziness lies on the important aspect of always cleaning and tidying the Pen's floor whenever it's messy. At times, failure to clean at appropriate or necessary time, it might leads to development of unseen germs, diseases and viruses which might later manifest to cause mortality among the Broiler birds.
So if one wants to excel in the business, one has to be industrious and hard working. A clean pen always breeds Broiler birds that are disease and virus free.
