The bible teaches us to care for our body because it is the house of God. To stay healthy biblically, we need to have self-control over our body, that's by avoiding some certain foods which we are not supposed to eat. Good health enables believers to serve God and others more effectively.
Scripture also emphasizes the connection between physical and spiritual well-being. We should put more focus on caring for our spiritual health.
“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God?” (1 Corinthians 6:19).
Christians are therefore encouraged to honor God through healthy and disciplined living.
