The beloved yellow pumpkin sculpture by Yayoi Kusama has found its way back to the pier on Naoshima Island after being lost during a typhoon. This iconic piece, a symbol of the island’s artistic identity since 1994, was joyfully welcomed back into the community’s embrace last October. If you're in Japan this month and looking to soak up some autumnal art vibes, head to Naoshima where temperatures are comfortably warm at around +22°C.
