Last autumn, I strolled along the brisk River Wharfe from Ilkley to Bolton Abbey, passing through quaint villages and historical sites. Starting at Riverside Gardens in Ilkley, I walked past the ruins of a Roman fort, crossed an old stone bridge, and admired the Low Mill weir in Addingham. My journey culminated at the stunning Bolton Abbey amid picturesque woods and parkland.
