For something equally charming but less crowded, Brittany’s Côte Emeraude offers cool temperatures and family-friendly sandy shores, ideal for exploring quaint towns like Dinard and St Malo. August is the perfect month to visit when temperatures hover comfortably around 20°C, making it easier to enjoy long walks along the shore and seaside picnics in the forest.
