After being damaged by last summer’s typhoon, Yayoi Kusama’s iconic yellow pumpkin sculpture has been lovingly restored and returned to its home on the picturesque pier of Naoshima Island. Residents and art enthusiasts alike came out to celebrate this symbolic piece that represents so much of what makes Naoshima special. With temperatures in the high 20s, July is a delightful time to visit and experience the vibrant artwork under the warm sun.
