Smile, you're on a surveillance camera. Maybe not right now, but during the course of your day you probably will be. And not just once, multiple times per day.

A report from safety.com tells us that on average Americans get recorded by security cameras at least 238 times per week. That's staggering, and show how much the surveillance state has crept up around us. It's estimated there will be 1 billion cameras fling the world by 2021.

People think China is the worst, and it technically is. They have a lot more surveillance tied to their controlling social credit score system. But Americans are close behind. How close? By 2021 the us will have about one camera for every 4.6 people. And for China it will be about 4.1 people per camera. When you look at 4.6 vs 4.1, it's not much of a difference.

One of the most frequent methods of surveillance is while driving. The average per week is 160 times for Americans. Next up is your work place. The average employee is filmed about 40 times per week around their office. If you work in retail or transportation, that goes up a lot more.

With so many people getting into security setups at their homes , the average is 14 times per week where your recorded by your own home or your neighborhood. Doorbell cameras have seen a surge recently as Amazon rolled out their Ring technology which partners with police.

If you do travel by plane or work in security areas, you can be watched over 1,000 times per week. Yikes! But nothing to worry about, it's all for our own good. If you got nothing to hide, right? LOL.
