Must have been like the Old Wild West like many things start out at times. One saying it is rare, and then not. Stating that digital jpegs are in "Mint" condition and stored on a flash drive in a safe! We may be talking some serious stuff here! Many "Rare Pepes" were being sought in various places by early collectors. Some stories of posting on craigslist and also Ebay.

These led to the Rare Pepe on the bitcoin blockchain. In particular the Homer Pepe that sold for serious money being very rare indeed! To honor these and the year Pepe was created a "RARE PEPE" token was created on the hive blockchain with hive engine with only 2015 maximum supply! Little over one hundred (100), or just five percent of the supply is currently in circulation. Initially being rewarded and given to some early supporters of $PEPE token.

A few blockchain accounts have been working on collecting some of these $RPEPE tokens including this blockchain account of @pepetoken which was given none and had to get them from the open market from those willing to let get of these rare Pepe tokens.

An idea was to possibly collect some of these "Rare Pepe" and have them available for $PEPE token redemptions on the hive blockchain. Although unsure about this. The main focus will be on the $PEPE token used for rewarding posts in the Pepe community with memes and moar! The moar being open to most anything one might love in their life. As memes are not for everyone. Although many enjoy some good, fun / funny memes once in a while, or moar often as one so may desire.

The rare Nakamoto Rare Pepe, with a "rareness of 97", has sold for upwards of 75 ETH, nearly a quarter million dollars!

Collection of Rare Pepe was on Counterparty which was on the bitcoin blockchain. This was an early iteration of "NFTs". Even this concept evolved from colored coins some time before which were simply different colored bits of bitcoin. Which have further evolved to NFTs or BRC-20's on the bitcoin blockchain something like the ERC-20's on the ethereum blockchain.

Makes you wonder what will be next!
