I am Tonte Krukrubo – a chef, travel agent, events and interior decorator, a beddings dealer, a budgets administrator, and above all, a mother of two handsome boys. I am a very accommodating and free-spirited thinker with an open mind. I would like to thank

As a serial entrepreneur, I wear these hats which include but are not limited to the ones mentioned above as I love to try out new challenges and explore new fields.
Let me take you on a brief tour of my journey thus far.
My Value Offered
I graduated with a marketing degree but at the time, it was a bit challenging to nail a great marketing job. There were mostly bank marketing jobs and this honestly did not appeal to me. I wanted a job that provided exposure to diverse marketing scenarios and experiences. I was thirsty to make the most of what I studied. However, I finally decided to delve into the retail business fully.
While I was still in school, I used to purchase some feminine underwear and resell them. This became a source of income for me and I saved up funds from it. Post-graduation with no job in view, I broke into the beddings market. This is such a huge market as everyone requires beddings to sleep. I added my unique touch to my business by selling premium quality beddings that are super durable, can be customized, and above all provide a dreamy sleeping experience.
This is a business that I am still involved in till date.

I moved on to decorating people’s homes, offices, and events which involved picking colour patterns that best suit the client's need, and generally providing a healthier and more aesthetically pleasing environment for my clients. I work with my small team of creatives as well and I currently do this part-time. This ride finally took me into catering.

I catered small scale as this is a passion I always had. My passion for food started when I was a young girl. I would help my mother in the kitchen with the preparation of the food items to be cooked. Eventually, I became confident to start cooking dishes myself with little to no supervision. This passion led me to open a small food business where people could make orders, pick it up or get it delivered as my outlet was not big enough for people to have a sit-out.

As a Chef, I create new recipes, bring a twist to old ones, and basically try to revamp the creativity and excitement around food.
Today, I currently own a bigger restaurant where people can sit and host events.
Being a travel agent, I assist people with tourism and travel-related services on behalf of travel or accommodation suppliers for diverse destinations. The aspect of being a budgets administrator is more of my career path. Here, I offer value through the introduction and execution of new ideas that improve the budget and planning aspect of the organization's process.

My journey as a mother has been the most rewarding yet testing experience of my life. I will be sharing this journey – the trials, the victories, the lessons, the good days, and the bad days with you all as I have and still currently am going through it. I am a family-oriented person and I love to spend time with my family and loved ones. I believe the support and love of a family cannot be measured especially for families that truly support each other.

Final Thoughts
I believe Hive is a community that will affect me positively as I hope to give so much value in these various aspects in which I am grounded. As an entrepreneur, I am currently exploring diverse fintech platforms and their features for potential business purposes. Hence, another reason for joining the Hive community.
