I stopped to buy some flowers on the way to the post office today.
I love flowers. I love having them at home, and I love giving them as a gift. Some find it out of fashion but I think it’s a classic.
These days, most people I know have everything they want and need, and a bouquet can be an elegant gesture that brings some beauty into person’s home for a few days. It’s not permanent, and maybe that makes us appreciate it even more.
Maybe someone thinks it’s a waste of money but it costs me about the same to get this bouquet or 2 coffees outside, and I’d rather pick the flowers and have coffee at home, as I always do anyway.
I work from home - which is the absolute highlight of the covid situation if you ask me and I promised myself I’ll never work in the office again - so I think it’s important that we feel good between the four walls.
Since I used the Saturday to tidy up the place, I though it’d be nice to add some colours to it.
