Nothing is more irritating than the Government... Ok, what is more, irritating than Government is corporations assisting the Government to screw people over.
PayPal has been sending the whole damn world emails that it is time to withdraw funds from their PayPal accounts. Given they are South African, because it seems the South African Corruption Crew (SA Gov) now want to further control all cash anyone earns or just happen to have laying around. Say that $50 you forgot about in PayPal they want to tax it, hard.
Obviously, the simple solution is to now just not use PayPal or announce every cent that comes in as a "gift".
The big problem I see with the corruption crew being afforded more ground online is with the crypto exchanges. The SA government being treated as a logical entity is a problem. I guess what is next, KYC was just warming people up to the idea and even minimal amounts by SA residents will most likely have to be recorded.
Further like with PayPal you may not use funds received to continue paying services online effectively just being able to keep the money out of the country.
For now, I will look at the best options for any future money management online. Unfortunately, I am yet to find a stable interest solution and for large amounts, I exchange the money and leave it in a standard savings account.
The only benefit to that is that the money won't lose all its value overnight the way crypto tends to do. I get a little bit of interest I think. I am definitely open to better options that will also provide me with a way to pay using the cash as though I would use a card.
As the trend to completely turn the world into suicide heaven continues we may have some reprieve with the Eth chain seemingly having out hyped itself again with all the DeFi crap and maybe just maybe some 0.00000000 coins can run a final wave into the 0.01 range to make many people very happy.
Until the next day that is.
