Sometimes Youtube just gets a person. I don't know if that is freaky or not but I really don't care if software and computers just know what you want. It is people that are the problem, not the technology or privacy "invasion".
Anyway, First up is a newish release from Five Finger Death Punch which I think more people really do need to be listening. They have had some shitty songs but The Tragic Truth is definitely in the same vein as their American Capitalist Albums sound.
I think after that many of their songs tried to keep the sound but definitely got a bit too mellow for my liking. This one just hits a bit different and is worth the listen.
Another band that has made a bit of a return is Falling in Reverse, their The Drug in me is You - Reimagined version was definitely well done, and hopefully shows other artists they can remake entire albums... Unless they still suck.
Their new song Zombified is fun and very much in line with the current political/cultural climate.
Since some commentary is being made, who best to hear real thoughts on the state of things than a 3rd world band.
Bloodywood comes out with a song every once in a blue moon but when they do it usually delivers a ton of energy as they speak their minds... If it was not for the subtitles I would not have a clue what they are saying but definitely still be banging.
A new band I found in the meantime is Bad Omen, just solid rock in the vein of Thousand Foot Crutch or Chevelle.
and then I found this, and although it probably does not fit the genre it definitely fits the playlist. Some solid dubstep beats and a pretty cool video.
There are other songs not listed here on the playlist these songs link to , they are either old favourites like Billy Talent - Fallen Leaves or newer found vibe out to songs like Jinjer - Disclosure.
I actually thought I would be bombarded with a ton of new songs all about covid and anti-gov sentiment but not so much out there at first glance. Which I guess makes sense, it is a rather pointless thing beyond whatever the gov wants us to be panicked over.
Metal definitely is the perfect genre for some commentary, but one better is standup comedy. As much as I like a good stick it to the man song, nothing hits home like a good standup routine that rips all these supposed importances apart.
Hope you have had a good start to your 2022, bottoms up to get this crap over with and hey maybe you won't die but really which is better.
