Hyena sneaking into the camp. They normally wont come in until every one has gone to bed. This young female is in top condition as are all the animals at this time of the year. Lots of food around for everyone. The sound of Hyena calling to each other over long distances is my favourite night time sound.
contrary to popular belief, Hyena are extremely efficient and skilled hunters, who often defend their kills from lion. Hyena and lion are mortal enemy's and will kill each other if presented with an opportunity.
