For a social medium to succeed, there is only one real metric. And that is userbase. The number of users needs to be substantial to have interaction. And then the network just needs to keep things interesting for eachother, but the more users, the easier that gets.
This userbase is now at over 1600 accounts after one month of release of the Front-End. And more importantly over 800 accounts have Sports Power staked. Around 25 million Sports are staked.
Which is actually incredibly good. Especially if you consider the fact that around 40k Steem accounts transact every day. So this network is well on it's way to become maybe the biggest tribe on the Steem Blockchain. Which would indeed be normal, because Sports is just a topic that is interesting for almost the entire world population.
Sports Token has a volume that varies between 2500 and 6000 Steem per day on Steem-Engine. Which is still very low, but that is indeed normal as there is very little liquid Sports. But still, compared to the tokens of the other communities like LEO, PAL, WEED, CCC, etc... the volume is quite substantial. That means that the interest is very high from the inside of the Steem blockchain. At the same time that is also the weak spot of this. Before someone from outside the Steem blockchain wants to join, he needs to have a Steem account, understand the Steem econonomics, then understand the tokenization of the communities that were created with Scotbot, Steem-Engine, etc... The learning curve is very high, and that puts loads of people off. So, there lies a challenge to attract newbies from outside of the Steem blockchain in an easier way.
The price has consolidated around 0.002 Steem, which is in my point of view fair value. That is currently around 0.0005 USD. I think it will hover around that price for a while now. Which is very decent!
Keep on Sportstalking people!
Sincerely,
