Some days are more relax than others and today was one of them....I love it! With today's beat, those days are quite rare, so when they happen : I enjoy them 👍
Good thing it was calm as it was, it is a little depressing to look outside the window : it is covered with snow outside. Here in Canada (Qc), it was snowing almost all day yesterday...it was like 20 degrees celcius just a few days ago and good news : it says it's going to be 16 degrees tomorrow. Time to melt again snow...Melt!!! Even if I am pretty sure this is the last of it for the year...hopefully, I can't wait to have no doubts about it.
So yes, feeling like that makes you feel like jumping into a hot shower and to just stare at the ceiling. So that helped for today's inspiration : starring at an imaginary ceiling...just hoping that the sun will be back and for the waters to stand still a little bit, just for a while.
Back to the drawing : I did the basic sketch using a 4H pencil. Once I had the direction I wanted, I started to add more details while increasing the pencils darknest up to 6B. I started with the head and keep the hair for last, hair is still hard for me. I did the same drawing process for the it 😉.
Lately, I have grown to love watercolors. The little pastel touch that it adds give it a nice finishing touch. It is almost my favorite part as I am still in the experimenting zone, so not always sure how it is going to come out.
