Hello everyone and happy Friday! Let be a little different today : I wanted to share a tree that I have painted on a canvas using different types of paints. Like always, I like to experiment, so I wanted to play around as one of my kids was doing some painting on their side. I figure, let's take this moment to enhance their motivation for arts!
I started with a layer of gesso paint primer, it is always a good base to start and I do not like to be able to just see through the canvas. Yes, their are cheap and I got them at the dollar store. While I was there, I grabbed some acrylic tubes and a couple f cheap brushes. I used the acrylic after that the primer was set to make the background and to eventually reach the tree. Doing some layers here, some layers there, I was just having fun. After it was rather done, I had some paint that was used for mugs a while ago. A sort of paint that you could use on windows as it has a transparent and glosy effect. A reason why you see a reflecting flare on the picture. So I just went with it using and mixing colors with it and getting various results. It enjoy it and my kid painted a great butterfly in the mean time. I guess they would fit well together as a set.
Here are some progress pics :
I hope you like it, Thanks for the view!
