Since my last post seem to be a success using smudging, I decided to do something around the same style for today's. I did not have any ideas of what to draw, so I Googled pictures to find a nice position and went from there. So here we go, another drawing using pencils and smudging. I do need to practice so here's a perfect occasion.
Here are the steps, first, the basic sketch using a 2H pencil.
Adding details, while still using the 2H pencil
Making outlines using a regulat HB pencil
Smudging to get the first basic shadows
Coloring the hair while smudging even more
After cleaning up the remaining sketching lines and add a little color.
I think the frog gives it a modern fairy-tale twist to it.
