Hello everyone and happy wednesday, the official hump day! Holidays are so close, that means that vacation are on their way too!! Hourray! In my post of yesterday, I have explain how I was playing with learning new ways to create lights and shadows. Well, snce I am on the subject, I decided to continue practicing in that sense, combining a few tricks, mixing them up to find something that suits me well.
I wanted to make some blinding lights. A little bit like when you stare at the sun through a window. I thought, what does stare at windows for long period of times : cats! It seems to be in their blood. My cat (that sadly passed away a few months ago), was doing it all the time. Staring at the birds outside, probably thinking that they could be great snacks, if only they would come to her. She was rather fat, well, very fat... so there would be no way she would run to try to catch one. Therefore, they lived in harmony.
Back to the drawing :-), using a combination of layers with the multiply option, blending some saturated colors and playing with opacity, I started to create that ligth effect that I was looking for. It took a few trials and errors but I ended up getting the desire effect. Now all I need to do it enhance the technique and learn how to master it, in time of course.
Here are some progress pics :
Here is a timelapse video of the drawing :
I hope you guys like it. Thanks for the view
