Chalk is fun 😁. It is probably why we play so much with them as kids. It is not perfect : no precision and they are very powdery. Then again, working using layers does a great effect. I do not know if it brings me back some childhood memories or something, but just like watercolors, it is very relaxing to draw with these. So another reason ti enjoy drawing.
I like the inverted drawings, I do not know if it is like that that you call them, but drawing only the highlights does have its charms. This was done using a white and a blue chalk. I also used a little bit of charcoal for some parts. Drawing with chalks never start very well for me, I just keep a positive mind and keep going untill the end; they usually turn out ok.
