Hello eeryone and happy Wednesday! Hopefully the holidays are going well for you all and that now you get a chance to rest. I know that I will take my resting time for sure, it is in the top of my priority list :-) I wanted to explore more coloring techniques and I thought that a portrait would be a great choice. Besides, portraits are something that I need to practice as much as possible to eventually look like some that I see online. I think that I am slowly getting there. Ok, AI will be hard to beat when it comes to illustrations, still, satisfaction goes a long way and keywords goes so far.
I actually did not follow any specific coloring technique "for say, I just mixed a bunch of different brunches and blended them together. I started using the watercolor brush and the pencil. As for the watercolor, it does not give out the same result as the real one, but was worth the try. I have to say that it is alot more precise and less messy than in real life. This is with what I started, but I went from india inking to airbrushing and blending to see what I could get. In other words, experimenting, I almost did a conceptual landscape like I did yesterday (I personnaly think that it looks great, it has some sort of children book look to it a little), but I like to vary also.
