Hello everyone, either it is Friday for you, or if you are like me,it will be tomorrow! Hourray! I remembered today that I have an appointment tomorrow, one thing leads to another and it made me think of dentists, as I am waiting patiently for that routine call. I really dislike them, not the people, just the aura that they carry with them :-). Of course I appreciate them and I am grateful that they do exists, still, I fear them. It feels just like getting in a butcher shop, even if it is just for a cleaning. Yup, I guess you could say that I am terrified actually. I am glad that my actual dentist will never read this, or I believe there could be some retribution.
A good thing about all this, it was the inspiration for this drawing. Once I am in their chair, I feel helpless and they seem to gang up on me. Sometimes, there is a soft voice in my ear saying : "Everything will be ok"...you know when you hear this, that it is not ok!! Why do hygienist think that by saying that it would make things better, more reassuring, I just don't know but they sometimes do.
This drawing was done in Clip Studio Paint Pro, it is rather new for me so every day I get a chance to discover new tricks, getting more confidence in my strokes using a tablet and also to think differently when it comes to digital arts. Today, the "extra that I have learn" is rather subtle, if you look carufully at the main picture of this post, you can notice small blurry efects and more distinguished detailled. I did my coloring in a different way, using linear burning for my base color layer and duplicates it a few times with different details and opacity all the way to the blurry effect at the end. I did this way as I want to be able to just take a look at the silouhette of the drawing : if by just seeing the shape I can tell what the drawing is about, it already is a good start. I still use the multiply layer effect to do my shading, it is an old school way that I am comfortable with.
Here are some progress pics :

I hope you guys like it. Thanks for the view
