Hello everyone and happy Monday! As a new challenge that I have set myself, every Monday I make a drawing dedicated to our feathered friends. For this week, I went with the ringed turtle dove, I have a couple that seems to come around during the summers days, the way that they chant is easy to recognize. Spring is on its way, so I will probably see them again soon (hopefully, the more birds in my backyard, the merrier)
This was done in the software Clip Studio Paint Pro using mainly oil brushes. Drawing this way becomes more like painting that drawing, I like the results : no outlines gves a more realistic look. Using a dry brush to blend the colors together makes wonders (I am glad that I have learned that little trick).
