Hello everyone and hopefully you are all enjoying yourselves on this Wednesday. This is the second day then I have been using the software Clip Studio Paint and it's great. I really enjoy it, obviously I am still exploring all the options, but there's a few that I already know that I will love and use a lot. The first one would be the option to clip the layer below (To make sure that I do not go out of the lines when I'm coloring) and the other one is the blending tool, most precisely the fingertip one. It really acts a little bit like a finger would, something that I am use to.
There is an option in the software that permits you to use a reference model 3D, boy that's useful! I usually do not draw from reference, wxcept from maybe a little model that I have that's in plastic (That looks like like the 3d model actually). I know I have to use more reference pictures and models to draw, it's a good way to find out those complex positions, then you can use what you remember hen you're "freehand drawing" (is you can say that). Why did I drive mechanic, it was the first thing that came to my mind. I drew a geek mechanic using the Sketch software a few days ago, so since I was using a 3D model as a reference, I figured why not do another mechanic using my new software.
You can read in one of my previous post that there is a game that is called taco racers that is under wax blockchain. They are comingup with a 3D unity version of it soon (which will make it more a real game), for that reason, they are making a small contests to draw some mechanics. So why not.
If you look at a time-lapse video (which is a great option that comes with the software), you'll notice at one point that I played around with some backgrounds that came with it. It did not go far with them, but I can see that their library is another thing to explore. (and there's animations and so much more). I have to say then I like that it i s specialized in drawing comics (or Mandas or Anime, etc.), it is a fun program to explore.
