Hello everyone, ah trees....one of my favorite things to draw. Even if they usually represent life and well-being, I like to draw those that are more dark, rotting, damaged with age. They make me think of my favorite horror movies. Somehow, one of those trees always manage to make an appearance in those type of films. In fact, I do not remember the title, but the rotting tree is at the center of the story of a well acclaimed movie.
To respect the mood for the drawing, I went for a two tone style. Black for shadows and main contrast, and some white to do the highlights. Those type of drawings are really relaxing to do. Sometime I think I could go on for ever, but would probably end up overdoing it at the same time. That is often the case with some drawings, but adding to much, you end up messing it up 🤪.
