I agree with your point on some tv shows being just totally useless for anyone to spend their time watching them, but I disagree with your point on those who listen to great ancients, I love the ancients and will always follow their wise ways of viewing the world, not because I want to be a legend but because I simply love knowledge, and you cannot convince me there is any other better source than theirs. And the many people that I know who check out the great philosophies none of them has ever had the perspective of wanting to be a legend, we are all looking for insights on better ways of existing.
And yeah I understand we should live life as an experiment but what is the point of acting like we know it all while we have numerous sources of knowledge which we could use as guidance in our experiments. There is nothing wrong with copying, it just matters who you choose to copy from and what it is that you choose to copy. After all, no one is ever all too authentic.
