Very positive that it doesn't waste on the pointless effects of the different universes or the protagonists' powers, but uses them sparingly, letting the characters play and highlight the scenes.
I thought that at some points the reliance on effects and CGI animation was extreme and damaging; such as in the scene with Scarlet Witch attacking the temple(?) - I don't know how that wasn't goofy. Or the sequence at the beginning of the movie with something wreaking havoc in the city.
The rest of the characters are enjoyable and, most importantly, work without interfering with the main showdown
I thought the interaction among the lead characters worked well, but the movie really could have done without involving other Marvel superheroes.
Still it's enjoyable blockbuster. I particularly liked Elizabeth Olsen's characters and performance. One can only wonder how the whole part with her and a zombie Strange would have played out should this had been Raimi's horror flick with the same budget, and not a Marvel blockbuster...
