This is a bit unexpected villain for sure, and one I like quite a bit too. Even though I'm not a fanboy of either, 101 Dalmatians or Emma Stone. However I liked the story of the lead character, her aspirations and how she navigates through antagonistic circumstances; I also love the production design. The rebel vibe in it looks particularly attractive. It shows a different facet of Emma Stone's talent to those of The Favourite and Birdman: two films I would recommend anytime anywhere to anyone who wants to watch something classy, original and top notch. In Cruella it is two talented Emmas who deliver lovable and intertwined performances; one wouldn't probably look as interesting and radiant without the other. And all that on the backdrop of delightfully ritzy sets and their designs.
