Greetings, everyone!
A learning curve is the process of learning a skill differently, either quickly or slowly. It reveals our strengths and our weaknesses. Ways in which we need patients to keep learning till we are acquainted with the skill.
However, I found it very easy to teach people, whether children or adults, it gives me joy and it becomes very easy to adapt to it and navigate my strengths, areas I should improve on myself.
I remember enrolling in the Project Management class, and I was lost in what my lecturer was telling me about. I struggle to learn and understand the concepts of the topics. Looking around, every other person seemed to have had experience before enrolling in the class, in my mind, I was like what's going on in my brain, why am I not getting this concept while others were busy expressing themselves, sharing their experiences, giving ample illustrations in the class and I was totally lost. I kept on pushing through, being patient with myself, knowing that someday I would get these concepts perfectly to the point of being able to explain to others, too.
And this particular technology, learning how to use Excel, was a bit challenging for me. I saw some parts that I couldn't, and at some point, I was angry with myself. You know when you don't do something, and you try to be like your teacher, and you can't. So for me to know this thing well, I need to practice it and internalize it with my laptop, and the worst part of it, is that if my laptop is not with me, I use my phone, but it doesn't give me what I want for the moment.
And this one happened recently, learning to use the Mexc app for transacting my currencies on Hive was very complicated for me, I had to stoop low to learn and become conversant with it. Every time, I use the app, I get to learn something by myself.
These experiences taught me that, I learn differently depending on how I am learning. Though, I am a slow learner. The things I struggle to learn require practice, patience, and consistency. Just like when I joined Hive Blockchain, there were so many things that I didn't understand, what I kept doing was to be consistent, and I have this consistency has been maintained over the years, and I tell you that I can navigate these communities with ease and understanding, and I can teach others.
Therefore, in learning new skills, I need to be consistent, practice them all the time, and I need patience. I will definitely get there, but it will take time and being positive about myself. Telling myself that I will know this thing, no matter what.
