Greetings, everyone!
Welcome to the second half of the year and to the week of new contests, new ideas, and shared minds.
Just straight to the point. Yes, a lot of people have indeed used bots to get fake likes and followers just to appear real but not so. Some used to spamming, hacking people's accounts, and more which is hurting and disrespectful to the owners and to the system.
I didn't know that Facebook users used to buy followers till I discovered how someone opens a Facebook account today, and tomorrow, followers will just pack up, and I will be wondering where they are getting these people, not knowing that they bought them.
I will never buy my own, it will grow small till it reaches a certain number. I'm into writing here on Hive, I don't mine my followers on Facebook.
However, if this bot is helping them to create meaningful content that will bless people's lives, then there is no problem; this is even better than using the bots to spam and do miserable things online. Using bots to earn money is better too. What is pleasurable about using bots to add likes and followers, so fake and dark?
I know of this particular church that doesn't have members, and while I was scrolling on Facebook, I saw this church being streamed with people filling the seats, and I was like what? Nigeria, wonders will never cease. And you know one thing about boys, the faces of the people were looking faint, when you people online, you will see these are normal human beings and not fake numbers. In my mind, I was like see what technology can do.
If you used bots and AI to make your work easier, then it's fine, but if used for other purposes that are not meaningful, then it's high time that rules are set in place to prevent violating the terms of the social media platforms. It's becoming so alarming these days and it's not worth it.
Bots and AI automation should be used wisely and people will not have unauthorized access to people's accounts because of bots. These tools were supposed to be used to learn, develop our skills, and add more knowledge for the users.
Stay sensitive, alert, and conscious of yourself. Know who you are and be mindful of the things done, don't compromise the system but support it by doing the right thing.
