Greetings, friends!
I was reading in the book of Daniel and I discovered how Daniel stood in the gap for his people. When God told him what the people had done wrong against Him. Daniel put on a sackcloth and sat on ashes and prayed to God for forgiveness.
He pleaded by crying for mercy and the sins of the people. He stood as if he were the one who had sinned. He presented himself as a sinner and also presented the sins of people before for mercy. We have come as bad people to the righteous God. Oh, God, show us mercy.
Daniel 9 : 3
Then I turned to the Lord God. I prayed to him and asked him for help. I did not eat any food. To show how sad I was I put on rough cloth and sat in ashes.
Daniel 9: 4
I prayed to the Lord my God. I told him about all of my sins. I said, “Lord, you are a great God. You cause fear and wonder. You keep your agreement of love with all who love you and obey your commands.
He cried, till God showed up and instructed him on what to do.
Just go this chapter 9 to 12, and learn a lesson that will shift your life and your generation. The hunger to stand in the gap for your family and plead for God's mercy over their lives and destiny. As he answered Daniel, He will do the same to you.
I love, I care, and I forgive.
