We all have local markets around us and one of the characteristics of local markets is sellers calling out to buyers to come purchase their wares
Today's episode was actually the height of it, see me see wahala o....make una follow me weep as I narrate my ordeal today at the local market.

As usual, I got the cash my hubby gave me and headed straight to the market,he had wanted an entirely different recipe, an igbo meal Ofe Nsala which he had tasted on his recent outing with friends
My darling husband dropped me off at the local market before heading to his office, ha had an impromptu meeting to urgently attend

As I stepped out of my husband's Lexus RX, I let out a deep breath, I looked round the market and decided which stall to go first
With the many chants of: fine aunty come and buy from me, fine aunty you'll love my items, fine aunty, I'll put plenty of jara for you" I bought the necessary items and headed to the last item.....beef And that's where the whole trouble started....

Usually, I have a customer I normally buy from but her stall was locked which means she was absent and that's very unusual of her
Other butchers around beckoned on me to come buy from them then this aged woman appeared from nowhere, I guess she's a butcher too as she held a boning knife with her and maybe in her late 70's, what a hard-working woman. Then I felt this tight grip, so tight that I had to wrestle to free myself, turning round, I found this aged woman dragging me to her stall, it's then I realized that it's about to go down

I was so pissed that I had to say something.....I was like:
Momsi, haba what's wrong nau, you don't have to harass me just to buy from you, it hasn't gotten to that, I'm to buy what is my taste and that's the essence for market survey
It's then another I noticed another middle aged man coming to my direction with a cheaper perhaps to take me to his stall as well, but then I needed to do something else I might sustain injury from the chaos

I immediately took a step forward, then flung the woman's hand off my wrist, with my shopping bag and the few items in it, I ran towards the market entrance
Na only me take Sabi how I take reach house, I had to rest a bit after the day's ordeal then stood up to prepare hubby's meal but then the Ofe Nsala was without beef, I hope hubby understands

As for me.....I've vowed not to step into the market again, maybe hubby will make the purchases or we order food items from Jumia馃槄
