We all know that everyone has their unique traditions and the way of life. the bead I used in making this necklace,most people around here do call it Igbo bead because people that are from Igbo land do wear such bead, and it is commonly referred to “jigida”these beads are not just won like but on special occasion during traditional occasion and most people wear it during a photo shoot. This bead mostly are won by the royal family
from the eastern part of Nigerian not only the Igbo’s.
to start with the procedures this were the material I used
*fishing line
*igbo beads (jigida)
*golden color crystal beads
*scissors
*hook
firstly I cut out a lengthy fishing, that will go round in making the necklace. After cutting it out I took the first part of the hook and tightened it properly.
Secondly I insert five Igbo bead (jigida) into the fishing line then added ten golden crystals beads to the same fishing line.
thirdlyI added one Igbo beads (jigida) and insert five golden crystals beads I continue with the process until I got to the middle.
**fourth procedure ** after I got to the middle, I inserted ten Igbo beads (jigida) at the middle of the fishing line. Inserted five golden crystals bea and I continue with the process on the third procedure.
