Philippians 4:8
Just like a word, it can lift or tear down another, so a thought that we have of ourselves can prevent us from moving forward or giving us the strength to overcome a burden.
I spent many years being unhappy because from the moment I woke up in the morning, I began to think negative, sad and depressing things. Now I can truly say that I have no longer been a victim of that situation, since the Holy Spirit has helped me learn how to operate with the mind of Christ within me.
Maybe, you, like me, have spent years thinking wrong thoughts. The good news is that, with God's help, today you can change.
If you struggle with negative thoughts, it is important that you face the fact that your life will not change until your thoughts do. Renewed thinking, like God's is vital for change.
The Bible has a lot to say about what kind of things we should think of. Philippians 4: 8 tells us to think of things that build us, not tear us down.
I want to challenge you today. Instead of waking up in the morning and immediately thinking of negative thoughts, choose a positive truth from the Scriptures and focus on it every day when you wake up. Let the Word of God grow in you and transform your mind. Fix your mind about the good things and enjoy the divine changes that it brings.

The Lord is not slow in keeping his word, as he seems to some, but he is waiting in mercy for you, not desiring the destruction of any, but that all may be turned from their evil ways.
