We implemented a new feature for our QUIQQER Mobile APP Builder.

QUIQQER APP

With the QUIQQER Mobile APP Builder you can build a smartphone app from your QUIQQER project!

Now you can't just be found in the app stores of Apple and Google but also your website becomes offline available. And all of that dead easy without any programming knowledge!

What feature(s) did you add?

The build script is used to build an Android or iOS app. In order to do so it depends on some tools and programs. In case the user running the script missed to install some of those dependencies, the script should tell him which dependencies are missing at the start instead of showing him complicated error messages from the build tools later in the process. Also a flag for the build script should be added which skips the dependency check, since it takes a few seconds.

Reasons

make sure all required tools are present
show problems directly at the start -> saves time
prevent the user from having to interpret complicated error messages caused by missing dependencies

How did you implement it/them?

add functions that check if each dependency is present (build/dependency_check_functions.php@125138c3)
add a function that runs all of the above check-functions (build/dependency_check.php@125138c3)
call the above function in the build script to check if all dependencies are present (build/build.php@125138c3)
add a flag to the build script that skips the dependency check (build/build.php@125138c3)
