EXPERIENCE IS THE BEST TEACHER
Experience, as everybody knows it is the best teacher. It's main aim is to teach us how to live. It is a stern schoolmistress. It sets us hard lessons, punished severely who are I attentive and stupid, and charge very high fees, but we never forget it's lessons. But all lessons are not unpleasant. Whether they are pleasant or unpleasant depends on us.
The worst of it is that we sometimes learn it's lesson too late. It may be that we should be glad to learn how to live well from the experience of our forefathers, or from past event, as recorded in books, and those we witness.
But somehow many young people do not heed to advices. They scoff at warnings and advise and go their way. A child might be warned against playing with candle light by an elder, but he does not listen until he gets burn by the fire. After that the Burnt child dreads the first.
A teenage girl might be warned against keeping late nights, but she turns deaf ears to the advice. After that, she gets raped. This incidence might bring emotional trauma, fear, lack of trust and hatred for the opposite sex. With this she has learnt not to keep late night, but through an unpleasant experience.
One of the most important things that we learn from experience is how to make better decisions. With each decision that we make, we learn from our mistakes and become better at making future choices. For example, if we make a bad investment, we learn to be more careful with our money in the future. If we get into a car accident, we learn to drive more safely. We can apply the lessons we learn from experience to all areas of our lives, including our personal relationships, our careers, and even our own health.
Another important thing that we learn from experience is how to deal with difficult situations. When something goes wrong, we learn how to cope with the stress and figure out a way to fix the problem. We also learn how to communicate better and work together as a team to solve problems. This is especially important in our careers, where we often have to work with others to achieve a common goal
In the same way, other people have to learn for themselves, often by bitter experience, such old truth as honesty is the best policy, Look before you leap, Those who live in glass houses do not throw stones, cut your coat according to your size, A fool at fourty is a fool forever and a fool and his money are soon parted. In such old proverbs, wisdom gained by experience has been stored.
By suffering we, learn patience, by facing danger, we learn courage, by sorrow, we learn sympathy and by our mistakes we, learn wisdom. In short, experience shapes us into what we are. It is on what our success in life depends on.
