I learned about this part of Canadian history for a long time thanks to a video I saw, then I saw it in a series too, FBI: Most Wanted... It's sad what happened, and it's sad that so much pain was hidden and left with no real resolution until now.

In many countries the natives are still treated like this, or even worse, in my country we still experience it, with miners, squatters, loggers and missionaries attacking and abusing children and adults, currently with government support as well. Some ministers even showed support for these groups. A minister who left these days, Salles, even received delegations in public offices and even traveled to support certain groups.

We will at some point have to deal with that too.
