I've been in Basilan in 2019. I went there alone and I couldn't forget how your local government welcomed, fed (yes, free foood!) and guided me in my 2-day backpacking. They arranged everything for me! I wish I could've stayed longer but time didn't permit since I had to travel to Tawi-tawi and Sulu. I hope you find your little corner here in Hive.
