I still haven't moved on from my last hosting stint in my club; our meeting theme was Diving Deeper (where I got the inspiration for this post's title, too. Our theme reminded me of the time I got back in freediving sometime last year.
I had my Freediving Intro Class last 2019 but I never got the chance to freedive again as my diving buddies got busy. I managed to convince my friend, my boyfriend, and his friend to have their Freediving Introductory Class once and for all. I'm well aware that my boyfriend used to be afraid of the open water so I was really glad he was able to conquer his fears one step at a time. My friend, Jelo, joined us as he's trying to improve his lungs' health, and what better way to improve it than Freediving, right? Well, there are a lot of ways, running, exercising, and breathing exercises. But freediving's fun and good for our overall health (as long as it's done cautiously ); that's hitting two birds with one stone. It made me extremely happy that I finally have new freediving buddies, too. 😁
It wasn't my first time in Moalboal but it was my first time in Tongo Point where the three of them had their intro classes. We contacted Nicco's Place in Moalboal to conduct the intro class. Nicco, the owner, handled the training himself. The entire time they had their intro I was just observing and perhaps, re-learning, too! The following day we joined a group for a 3-hr drift dive from Tongo Point to Panagsama. It was exhausting but fulfilling at the same time. 😁
